Context
Warlands is the main game from Warlands Corp. Was released in Spain, 2023 in early access.
I was in charge of all in their latest Interface Redesign.
The game consists of a MOBA and Battle Royale mechanics in a competitive format, where users strategically survive and conquer zones of the battlefield in 5v5 teams.
Case
Warlands is a multiplayer game based on the ancient World. The game's distinguishing feature are the islands. The islands are the places where the game's battles will take place. Giving the player freedom to move around the different islands, fight monsters and other players while conquering them.
In this case I had to be in charge of restructuring the entire game, based on the GDD, with a due investigation of the genre and the theme I achieved the final product.
The main challenge was to convert a game focused on mobile platforms into one for computers and consoles and be able to give it its own identity.
Solutions
Create a design that accompanies the fundamental pillars of the game, such as being based on ancent mithology and an war world, in addition to creating great readability and accessibility.
My goals:
Create a solid structure wih an UX an User research.
Create a consistent design system that creates a sense of uniformity across screens. Bringing the interface to life with the help of interactions and shaders in Unity Engine.
Create a cohesive identity along with the entire product, that is. The Warlands brand is capable of being identifiable on networks, the web and in its most important product: Warlands Game
